Gentleman

This is one of my favorite artists. Gentleman grew up in Köln on the Rhein river. He is the son of a preacher and became introduced to reggae music through his older brother. Already at the early age of 17 he traveled to Jamaica for the first time, to experience the base of this inspirational music. If any one has any doubt about the legitimacy of Gentleman as a reggae artist, watch the whole video of Gentleman as a youngster. This is no white boy reggae music, this goes beyond that.

Yes he is German, yes he comes from the Rheinland, yes he is an exceptional singer, but Gentleman is above all a strong conscious voice of our time. With so much negativity and insecurity in the world and many lyrics of today's music, both to me personally and to anyone who has been touched by his music he is a stronghold and inspiration. It is rather symbolic that he comes from Germany, the battleground of so much war in the past, to speak of universal love and peace through the most warm and heartfelt music of the world.

Even with a blessing to the world such has having President Barak Obama be the symbol at the head of America, it is still on us to right injustices we see in daily life. "A hungry man is an angry man" - Obama may be our president, but he is working for us, and if we want to live in a better and fairer world, we need to get the job done. "Its not about class color or races", its about setting an example to mankind that we can live in love for our neighbor, ourselves, and the entire world. If you got it, give some love and don't worry about getting some back. No doubt.
