So it goes about an Entourage from Germany making beats videos music, cuts and rhymes in their basement, for them - by them. Explicitly, they shit on the industry and make sure you know so. To singelingual haters it may seem like some whiteboys doing the 90's hippie backpack rap thing, but the truth is their music is more like a new era beam of tribute across the ocean to US HipHop inspirations like Madlib, Dilla and Big L - definitely not some US suburbia phenomenon. Not Gangster Rap either, the intelligence of these artists far surpasses some dumbass from the street in and out of jail, or wannabe ruff raw and hardcore German gangster rapper thinkin every high-rise project youth is straight outta compton. "Gangster Rappers can't fight, so they rap about guns"
Now taste is something subjective, and if you only understand the sample cuts in between its half the fun, but these tracks from the Rheinland are jellyjuicejam-packed with lyrical cunning, spunk and fervor.
